when my bro broke my guitar last week, i thought, “it’s cool. i have the internet to keep me occupied.” if i knew my laptop would go on to kill *him*-self a couple of days later, i wouldn’t have been nearly as optimistic.
and *he* did just that.
my world crumbled right before my eyes and there was absolutely nothing i could do about it. i had no music, no internet, no life. i started to panic. i couldn’t think straight. what is one plus one? a guitar. where are the cats? looking for my laptop. should i watch tv instead? the shop must still be open at 1.48 am.
i never quite understand people who sleep on their problems because for me, it only worsens the mental state. the next day, i woke up, called my brother and probably said, “bro laptop dead god help me help me please help me.” a few hours later, we were at a computer shop. i pointed at the first laptop that i saw and waved my… *ahem*… my bro’s credit card at the dude and said, “swipe it, damn it, just swipe it. i need my life back!“
i still don’t have a guitar yet, but at least i now have a new compaq laptop to my name. well, at least it will be mine in 18 months’ time. ain’t SCB’s easy pay the greatest invention? ever?

computers are basic necessities these days …. (sigh) …. and you’re not alone even if we’ll run a poll to judge current situation … whatever it is … congrats on your new laptop …. now I feel like buying new one using SCB ezi pay … he. he.. btw you shouldn’t forget giving your laptop a hug and a smooch becoz’ it’s gonna be one of your lifetime companionship
interesting.. what does SCB stand for?
I’m on an apple notebook. The old G4. The new applebooks are so cool. My friend bought one and now i want one too. Did u consider the apple ibooks when you went looking for a notebook?

SCB is standard chartered bank.
did u back up your music files? i could lose all the games. i would be a bit sad if i lost my pictures, which i did once. i would not be able to live it down if i lost my songs. its what is needed to be there when i use my computer. an Absolute Must~
so congrats on a reincarnation of your life~
@ moglie
haahaha… i must admit i was crushed when the old one died…. i didn’t realise how attached i was to it until it was gone
@ r&al
i take it you’re with another bank, eh?
@ jack
i did. but i decided on a compaq to piss my friends off… when i told them about it last night, they nearly passed out. that sight was priceless
@ jason
i had loads of pix on my old laptop. those photos of my cats when they were kittens… arrgghhh!!!
hsbc
but my bestfriend is in SCB.. maybe i should apply there, need a new pc..
what pc do you have in mind?
Guitar broken? Two words: air guitar
a sexy desktop beast of a computer.. haha! i love laptops but i never had a desktop before so ya..
oooo new laptop
what really happened to the old one?
compaq…. PAH!
I do love laptop but I would rather get myself a better desktop as I am not always on the go. Anyway, a usable laptop would do for me. Congrats(or “I am so sorry that you broke your old laptop”) on getting a new one, hehe.
Btw, what bank is the best? Gonna apply a saving a/c soon, so, SCB, Baiduri or HSBC?
SCB the greatest invention because it lured you into paying interest for something you can do without? Now that you are stuck with the same laptop (compaq at that), which will become obsolete in 6 months time but there is nothing you can do because you will be stuck with it for the next 18 months? Greatest invention, way to go Liz…
Well, if you opted for MAC, maybe the world will turn out just a little different, just if…
@ LSM
i’ve actually *ahem* been playing a lot of air guitar, especially when i’m driving. it’s kinda therapeutic, to pretend you’re the world’s greatest guitarist for 10 minutes every day
@ r&al
sexy desktop, eh? i thinking black and red for some reason
@ sas
the hard disk died. my bro is trying to retrieve all my files. hopefully his plan works…
@ jazzmoney
oh dear… you’re gonna give me one of those “mac is the best” lectures, again?
@ ingsiang
i have no idea which bank is good, since i have accounts at baiduri and hsbc. but if you’re thinking “easy pay” though, then it’s scb! the problem with baiduri is there are not many ATMs around. then again, they do open on sundays, which is always a plus.
@ stuart
not if you spend as much time on the computer as i do. i even watch dvds on the computer now. it defines my life, quite literally
And which laptop you got now?
compaq presario v3000. i heard you used to work in a comp shop, and a great saleswoman
red and black? lol.. is the desktop wearing a teddy in your head?
I think some of your old laptops were from me. Hahaha. Cos your bro always ask me for price and I’ll try to give him the best discount.
Nonnie know Lizzie bro? Now that’s interesting. I was in Miri 6 years ago, so are my siblings, so little luck for me form knowing any of you, in person, haha.
@ r&al
darn! how did you know??? hahhahaha
@ nonnie
yeah he said you were probably one of the best computer saleswomen in the country
@ ingsiang
